It goes without saying that our blinds look fabulous once they have been fitted into your home.
To ensure that your blinds stay looking superb we’ve come up with a few helpful tips and tricks for the best ways to clean your blinds.
Vertical Blinds
For a quick clean, your vertical blinds may be cleaned using a vacuum with it’s upholstery attachment.
However, for a more deeper clean, selected fabrics can be washed by hand or wiped down with warm soapy water and a cloth.
Roman Blinds
Roman blinds can be vacuumed using the upholstery tool as well as dry cleaned for a thorough clean.
Before going to the dry cleaners, remove the blind from the headrail, paying attention to how cords are threaded and remove the rods and bar from the bottom.
Unfortunately blackout blinds cannot be dry cleaned but have recommendations on the label.
Roller Blinds
Roller blinds are simple and easy to clean. You can either dust with a dry cloth or for a more intense clean to remove stains, roll down the blinds and wipe with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Leave blind rolled down until fabric is dry.
Aluminium Venetian Blinds
Lightly dust with a dry or damp cloth. Do not apply too much pressure as the slats may bend.
For a deeper clean, use a mild household detergent.
Wooden Venetian Blinds
Only clean with dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth.
Pleated Blinds
Clean using a clean, dry duster but be careful not to press to hard as to damage the pleats.
For conservatory roof blinds, use a hair dryer to blow off any dust that you cannot reach.
Shutters
Shutters should be cleaned regularly to ensure their quality remains. Only clean shutters with dry or slightly damp lint-free cloth.
Curtains
All of our curtains can be dry cleaned. However, to keep dry cleaning to a minimum we recommend vacuuming your curtains with the upholstery attachment on regularly basis.
Awnings
Gently brush off any dirt that may be sitting on top of awning. For stains, sponge them off with warm water and a mild detergent. Ensure that the awning is dry before closing.
