R+T Trade Fair – Signing Off

In February a number of the team at Barnes Blinds attended the rather exciting R+T Trade Fair in Stuttgart, South West Germany. R+T is generally regarded as the leading world trade fair for our industry with specialist focus on roller shutters, doors, gates and sun protection systems. Held every three years, we were very anxious to attend in 2015 to be a part of the trade fair’s 50^th anniversary.

Upon arrival we were delighted by the number of international companies exhibiting progressive technology and new stylistic trends. It made for fascinating exploration and also helped educate many of us in what may come in the near future. To help digest the trip and what we saw, we’ve compiled a number of images snapped from the event below.

These digital print roller blinds are becoming increasingly popular among manufacturers and designers thanks to the ease of large scale digital printing. The print can be directly applied to the roller and vertical blind fabric from your computer which allows companies to respond to new design trends and patterns without delay.

Louvolite are one of the main suppliers of fabric and components in the UK and have long made a presence at Barnes Blinds. Here you can see a showcase of their latest fabrics and styles including the marvelous ‘One Touch’ technology for roller and vision blinds. Always a step ahead of the game!

This colourful selection of bespoke wood blinds come from the Timberlux collection who also feature heavily at Barnes Blinds. We were really impressed with their playful design and can see them having a significant decorative impact in kid’s bedrooms and family playrooms.

Finally we have the Somfy Happy Wall and Nina Controller. Somfy are one of the largest international companies dealing in motorization of domestic internal and external products. Here you can see their touch sensitive controller which is the latest addition to the innovative catalogue.
