Pantone Colour of the Year 2017: Greenery

In a year of turmoil the good people over at Pantone are providing us with a ‘colour of the year’ to bring revival, restore and renew. Greenery.

Greenery is described as ‘a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring’.

Since 1999 Pantone have been releasing their colour of the year which has always been born about being symbolic and a snapshot of what they see taking place in our global culture.

Leatrice Esieman, Executive Director of Pantone Colour Institue said “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”

Pantone expect to see their new colour popping up in fashion, interior design, products and everyday life.
